The only Slaughter title reign I know of from that timeframe is the dope ass red, white and blue Parks style US strap but that could never be mistaken for the Big Gold

I think it was the Mid Atlantic version of the NWA tag titles? But it was on a brown strap instead of black. He was cutting a promo with Flair and Greg Valentine in 82.

Watching right now, Butch Reed as a babyface in '82 Georgia is interesting, he's damn good at it and the fans are behind him big time, wonder how he coulda did as a good guy in WWF or even JCP
