If anything they also downplayed how intimidating, forceful and scary Fritz was. I would also say a very romanticized version of the boys themselves. He was really good. I really thought they could have ratcheted up things with him by showing the conflict with Fritz forcing him into the ring and putting the pressure on him to replace David but there was already a lot going on plot-wise. I'm glad they cut the Lance stuff, it was unnecessary and would have dragged the plot
