It's the same in all forms of entertainment, you're gonna find groups of people where that level of pretentiousness creeps in, almost hipsterish in nature. Refuses to watch the "mainstream" then they'll get moist in the gunt over some absolute dog shit because no else is watching, and then they say "Well, I knew them before..." but then turn on them when they get too popular. So, some never-will-bes glaum onto stuff like that bullshit "These are the REAL fans" thing.

It's especially bad when it comes to Metal.

I haven't actually seen Dumb and Dumber all the way through. Never got round to watching it, and when it was on TV, I'd always end up stumbling upon it, then I just gave up trying.
