Just go by urself. Going to shows by myself is one of my favorite things. I can enjoy it from where I want, leave when I want, get as many drinks as I want ect. And I usually end up making conversations with those around me. At incubus and letters to cleo shows I know several fans and chat with them that I met at shows and only hangout with out shows. Sometimes I even avoid going to a show with friends and get a ticket in a different section by myself lol.

when I was listening to the cardigans in 8th grade while everyone else was listening to limp bizkit and korn I knew it was going to be a long life of solo shows.
That thought entered my head as well. We’ll see what happens.

It’s a gift and a curse. We made a decision as a society that we only wanted to see John McClane/ Rocky and Rambo/Well Arnold just being Arnold. They have to be that and we will take nothing else! So yes it stifles you creatively but it’s also a paycheck for potentially decades.

It happens to even the best actors. Anthony Hopkins is Hannibal. I want to see shades of Hannibal in every single thing he does. That’s all you are!

It's funny how that works, because even though some shades of previous characters still stick with actors, it's seen as incredibly insulting to ask an actor to deliver a line like they did in a previous role. Kevin Smith told a story about when he was working with Bruce Willis, and there was a particular line he wanted, and Kevin asked Bruce, "Could you deliver that line like you would as David Addison in Moonlighting?" and Bruce freaked out about it.

Going to concerts/movies on your own is great, apart from Stand Up Comedy, don't go to comedy shows alone, I saw that happen to one poor bastard, ended up feeling sorry for him by the end of it.

But to a concert, or a movie, you get to do what you want, when you want on the day, it's a revelation.

Is Edge sick? He looks thinner than recently, like he was suffering from something chronic and getting thin. Or maybe it’s too much make up.

The problem with The Rock as a well known hero is the same problem guys like Arnie, Stallone, and Willis would have.

No one watches the movie for who they are playing, they just watch the movie to see them. They overshadow any known character.
Stallone had a nice calm role in GotG2 and Arnold was hilarious in Batman and Robin.
But they also weren't the stars, and didn't devour the whole movie into their presence.

Dwayne can only do that.

It also helped that Arnold was not even the worst thing in that abortion of a film.

Yeah I’m at a point in my life that concerts are better without my friends or wife. And when friends want to go with me sometimes I actually try to avoid it lol. There is something magical about enjoying a concert with someone and sharing one of the best nights of ur life. But I’ve also had just as amazing experiences by myself.

I am glad that Ezra Miller has turned out to be a complete fuckhead, so they will more than likely recast him as the Flash
I liked him in it and he was amazing in we need to talk about Kevin.

As I’ve said in the past, I have no IRL metal friends so I usually don’t get to go to the shows I want to go to. Is this the time I finally relent and download a dating app just to find someone to go with me? Is there a southern, metal head Rhea Ripley somewhere out there just dying to meet a long haired, headbanger biker? What a journey we are in for

I saw Deftones by myself the other night. Originally had a friend coming with but had the tickets for over 2 years. He ended up selling it and moving to Florida in that time. It's great. You'll talk to people in the crowd. Or you can just hang out and move around as you like without having to worry about someone else with you.

Can't miss out on stuff just because your friends have shit taste in music that's the way I look at it.

Has Elon bought it yet?

Last thing I heard, he was waiting for the results on the analytics on how many fake/bot/spam accounts. If it's more than a certain percentage, he's lowering his offer because the $44bn price-tag was based upon the user base being mostly actual people.

I remember seeing Slipknot a few years back. There was this couple a row in front of me. She was super into Volbeat who also played, he was not. Slipknot came on which is clearly who he came to see and she was complaining nonstop, so they left. I see shit like that all the time. People just bring somebody along because they think they'll be bored on their own.

Similar thing happen with me. Last concert I went to with other people was an evening of bickering, complaining, and petty stuff. The full story is ridiculous, and I'm amazed grown men would act that way. Since then, I see something I like the look of, I just get a ticket and go.

I was going to see Ozzy and Judas Priest on my own, but they've postponed it until next year now.

Wait till he finds out 4 million accounts are actually anti-AEW bots.
