Asking again- how is so much more damage going to happen in BKFC that couldn't happen in MMA? It's not like UFC requires fighters to tape up their elbows and knees and feet, which can cause more damage than bare knuckles. Is it just the volume that people are getting scared by?

Literally not how it works. All sanctioned combat sport events have insurance. The promotion pays all medical bills for anything that happens during a fight. This is true even for amateur fights.

I have gotten stitched up after an amateur mma fight and x-rays. Didn't cost a penny, because promotion is required by law to have insurance for the fighters for anything that happens during a fight

Kinda true they have a policy but can be difficult to get good quality care. I broke my hand in a ammy fight in Biloxi Mississippi and although they did cover my initial ER bills for the soft cast etc. I still ended up using my personal insurance for the eventual surgery like a week or so later. There’s would not cover the right surgeon that I needed to put an artificial meta carpal in.

I wouldn't like for her face to get messed up, but if she manages to avoid that, I wouldn't see a downside to her fighting in the ring.

Unfortunately, I don't know how BKFC is going to be able to actually to pay her millions of dollars. They just might go bankrupt before she ever sees much of that money.
