So when I do snatches, clean/jerk, etc, how am I supposed to put the weight down if my gym doesn't have bumper weights? Because this crap is getting annoying....
c&j: Lower the jerk to the shoulder. then lower the weight to your thighs.
s: lower the weight to your thighs.
you might get a bruise or two, but if you are not cleaning 150kg or snatching 120kg, letting them down should not be a problem, except maybe for max attempts. imo it's lame to drop the bar for reps under 85% or whatever anyway, it's just fucks up the bar, even if it's a good one.
