God damn do I miss being a teenager. I used to throw all these cds in my discman and walk across town 6 miles to see the woman that would become Mrs Gutter.

I swear if I met a genie I would wish for everything to be like it was in 1998ish . Jincos pilfers hoodie 2 gauge hoops and on my way to see the suicide machines play with the skolars . If im wrong about shit and there is a heaven thats what I want it to be like. I have never been happier than that period in my life when I first really got into punk ska and met me wife

Was outside grilling some chicken and I just had to hear this all of a sudden for some reason

Did anyone post the Aquabats yet? They were sort of a gateway band to me. My brother had this album and it led to more ska and heavier punk. (sorry can't find individual songs on youtube)

Saudade - The new supergroup featuring members of Bad Brains, The Cro-Mags, and the singer from the Deftones...

Doesn't sound very punk, more like Prog rock but I like it a lot. It's kind of funny it's being advertised as Chino Moreno's new project, but this is the only song they've released and it's an instrumental.

Those were some great years for me too. Maybe it's just because I was in a band and promoted shows, but it was more than just a scene to me. It was a counter-culture, a community of people with similar tastes and goals, working towards something bigger than just music...

Mostly I just miss hearing all that new music, and seeing live bands on the regular.

There's going to be a HC punk festival in Toronto this year at least... Look at the name :D

Sect: Another new supergroup, featuring Chris Colohan (Cursed/The Swarm/Left for Dead) On guitar is James Chang (Catharsis) and Scott Crouse (Earth Crisis), bassist Ian Edwards (Earth Crisis) and drummer Andrew Hurley, who stomped it out with Racetraitor in the '90s.

The image plays the song if you click on it

Listened to what was posted on theprp a couple of weeks back, thought it was really good. Think it was at least 1 track

Some good stuff in here. Anyone pick up the latest Descendents album? I haven't listened yet.

So I have band for all of you called The Monks. The Monks were a five piece band of American GI's stationed in Germany during the mid 60's. Released one album called Black Monk Time back in March of 1966. Can possibly be considered the first punk album. I highly suggest everyone get the album, it is an amazing record for the time and one that was way ahead of its time

In 7th grade we had to make a visual slideshow to play along with a song of our choosing. I chose this song lol.

That's funny. I had to do that too, but in Grade 10 photography class. I chose this song, I'm surprised I never got in trouble lol.

"it's in the nature of human beings to demand an answer for something beyond seeing, because we can't accept the simple fact there is knowledge that we lack. So, we create this fictional being and blame it for everything, so the world sits on it's ass and nothing gets done, it's blindfolded everyone.

"Do you think he watches over the boys and girls while on the other side of the world holy wars claim many lives, how the fuck is this justified? Say a prayer, you'll be fine, but when you run out of time, you'll realise the worlds controllers done nothing at all, but left you fucked over! Totalitarianism, militarism, homophobia and chauvinism, a false sense of hope, blinding the masses, segregation society, division of classes, boundaries and borders, ancient long battles, bigotry, death, people acting like cattle, warfare, racism, no need for survival, it's all part of the bullshit bred by the bible!!"

Lyrically it's great, but I still prefer Avail.

I'll download that album and check it out though. You're not the first person who's told me they prefer his solo stuff to Avail.
