Paint it Black are this odd band that mathematically should be amongst my favourites but I just haven't found a warm spot with them.

That Link 80 split with Capdown though. I was at the show in London at the Red Eye when a new band called Soap opened for Link 80 and everyone shat themselves! Those dudes are amazing. I think I still have the Soap demo tape somewhere. Then they had to change their name from Soap to Capdown. This was 20 years ago, but I remember doing an email interview with Link 80 and them asking me if I still had a copy of that tape because they had worn their's out in the tour van. And then I clearly remember it being the beginning of my time on the internet and me sending some stupid chain letters to Adam and Aaron and them never replying again.

It took me a bit to get used to Dan's voice. I've noticed a lot of Lifetime and Kid Dynamite fans don't like Paint It Black even though Dan Yemin wrote the songs for all three bands. I don't love Paint it Black, but I really like them. I posted a Kid Dynamite track earlier in the thread.

Cool story. I met them too in Toronto, they were all friendly.

I only found the Capdown split recently online, with their 9 song demo. I found both on Soulseek.

Some Capdown for everyone

I'd never heard Capdown before. The person I downloaded the split off of, just had the LINK 80 side. They're good

I just found out about that recenty when I started getting back into punk and ska and bored with fok punk and immortal technique

Aways nice to get a surprise ike that

These fine fellows are up and running again too.

For sure, It was a nice surprise to get a new "Refused" album last year also. Love the breakdown in this song.

I heard Mephiskaphles on the university of Toronto Radio's punk/ska show a lot but I never got into them. I checked them out in this thread and another video you posted earlier, they are good.

I heard that stza punched the chick out cuz she was getting all the attention.

Interesting.

When I hung out with Stza's GF she had chopped her finger off the night before and had it re-attached with stitches. Stza stole all her painkillers and ate them with the band. He didn't seem like the sensitive caring type, ha.

For the crown and

are the only2 non nick link 80s that I really like

I like their cover of Harvester of Sorrow (Metallica)
I like Intolerance and Evil Twin is pretty good. They're definitely not as good as their earlier stuff though.

I saw Mike do his solo stuff at the Recher Theater in Baltimore many years ago, and I was thoroughly unimpressed by most of it, but this song really stood out...

Al Barr back before he took up the mic for the Dropkick Murphys...

I have posted this before maybe even this thread but that is seriously one of my fave jams of a time.
