Which led to some Dwarves. One of the big misses of my life, went to a show of there's in Camden, London and then got dragged into some drama that meant I missed the show. And still haven't seen them

Another underrated ska punk gem from the UK; Farse

nice, as much love as the SLF get they deserve more

Do you know these dudes ?

Never heard of them actually, gonna level with you here...I like punk music, and I love Irish music, but I really don't like those american 'celtic punk' bands like dropkick murphys and whoever else. That is decent though, bit more Pogues-esque.

I find the irish ones to be hit or miss from both sides of the pond . Over here they seem to be cropping up like weeds the last few years but theres still only a handful of good ones. I do mostly 90s era punk ska mainly myself

I find that Celtic influence always puts bands on my radar but also means I don't often get out around to listening to them if other things are around, but I'm very rarely disappointed on the first listen. They can all play but mostly struggle with surviving multiple listens and staying interesting.

I'm not sure how that plays into me agreeing with @Gutter Chris about my first love being 90's punk since most people say that it all sounds the same but I swear I can tell the differences between bands better than fancy people can distinguish wines.

Yea I can tell the dif between the bands and I dont think all the bands sound like each other but that each of the bands have a signature sound. Example less than jake has there own sound but the down side to that is that all less than jake songs kind of sound alike if ya know what i mean. I think the worst offender is streetlight manifesto by a mile for every song sounding the same though

Love the Bosstones!

Agreed, so I think my less trained ear on the Celtic stuff means I can tell it is loads of fun but I'm hard pressed to give you a more than a handful of standout songs of the genre, I just dig it, play some more. But 90's style punk each moderately famous band has a stand out song that I can remember and recognise. I'd rather have that in my repertoire than knowing about wine
