I dont like that Gateway very much im afraid. Not a bad band but not my cup of tea but I got another home town band you might like after hearing that @Budac

Ah well, we had to differ eventually. Will check out these guys you mention

How cool would it be if Tim Barry played your elementary school

Not sure if already posted but I was just listening to it.

This one is the catchiest songs on earth and might get stuck in your head .... you have been warned

So while we're talking about Against Me we might as well post some songs, reposts ahoy!

and

When i go back and listen to them, its not the first two albums i go for.

I'm like the only one that thinks they got better as they got poppier.

We have spoke on this before and I still find it shocking that you would rather listen to newer against me. I think most of the newer stuff unless you listen to it acoustic is awful. I was furious when New Wave came out and damn near through it out the window .

Starting with Searching for a Former Clarify, the quality of everything went way up. Everyone kind of holds onto things that are old and aesthetically junky because it's honest and raw and a lot of bands start sounding better at the expense of those things.

Against Me! matured the right way. They got better at instruments, better at song writing, improved the quality of their recordings...everything. Lyrically, the first two albums are a joke compared to the later stuff.

I don't even think Eternal Cowboy is a good album at all, so it's just like a couple songs on Axl Rose that make the old sound worth going back to.

Yea I dont agree with you on that a whole lot at all. I prefer a rawer sound and low production values and if I wanted to hear people who were excellent writers and awesome at instruments punk/ska wouldnt be my fave genres.

I get it, but I'm not going to not like something despite its value.

Best Against Me song:
