Rumored price is 600-700 USD

With a price like that, I may as well buy a high-end GPU

I'm kinda excited

I want to see what this SSD can do
Operate less than 1/10th as fast as the RAM & VRAM that was already in the XB1 and PS4.

Oh, okay. I'm being a debbie downer. My curiosity is also piqued, but realistically, that's the big picture. Unless the size of your immediate playable interactive surroundings as a character become so large they can't fit into your RAM and VRAM, at which point I wonder if you've rendered those obsolete, I'm not sure what else there is to gain. It's about game/checkpoint loading time and chaining travel across zones in huge open world maps seamlessly.

At least I haven't been able to theorize anything more creative than that, but of course I'm not a developer. Just a casual observer of the tech.

I saw the reports last night of the Amazon UK leak, or whatever, that would convert to ~$750 USD, but I immediately dismissed them. There's no fucking way Sony puts out a console that costly. They know price is the most important battlefield in the war.

Sony marketing team has been drilling into my brain bro.

I've read that this PS5 SSD is unsurpassable by current and future PC tech.

I've also read that the PS5 SSD and PS5 Operating System are manufactured in such a way that PC can never surpass them.

I'm not exactly sure how this is done but I've read that is has to do with the SSD having unparalleled optimization due to the new PS5 OS.

To go even further. I've read that this PS5 SSD technology can potentially change the future of the gaming business.

For example, future games might require an SSD to play them.

I'm fully expecting a 500 dollar price point.

That 700 pound number just sounds insane.

Yep I did as well. As far as the SSD I expect much shorter loading times and that's about it. That's become one of my biggest issues this gen so I'm glad to see that being tackled by both companies. I really don't see what else they could do with it but like you I'm no dev so will just have to see.

As far as hardware I've seen all I need to see from both companies. Xbox killed it obviously and Sony did good enough. Now we just need to see the games.

Pretty sure they outright stated that PS5 games will need an SSD.

As far as the rest don't get caught up in the hype. These companies always do this shit. Remember Microsoft and their infamous cloud power? Just sit back and see what they do with their games. On top of that you have to realize that pretty much only their first party studios will be able to take full advantage of it.

The world is in disarray, our company is doing more layoffs today. Yet I'm still super stoked for this.

Predicting $500 us

Game predictions: Remastered/special editions of every big PS4 game out or coming out this year along with some tech demo garbage.

I predict a bunch of trailers of games that won’t be released for years just to build hype. Kind of like Bethesda’s starfield and elder scrolls trailers at the last e3.

Right let's see what they got to offer. I'm still undecided on what console I'll get next so hopefully they'll show me something here.

Minute late. Epic fail for Sony.

Are you fucking kidding me? Kicking off the PS5 presentation with a PS3 game. This is modern gaming my friends.
