Hey Tdiddy, if you like RPG's but think FFX might be too long, give Baulders Gate a try. It's a really great game. More on the action side than traditional rpgs. The graphics are top notch too.

Hey, it's coming out for ps2, but a different version than the pc. It's called Medal of Honor:Frontline. I don't know what will be changed though.

I think that's their clever way of saying it wont have all the online options, if any online play at all. They are for sure adding some extra single player stuff. Hopefully that isn't the case, and internet play is in there! Either way, the single player play for that game is simply awesome.

Hey Jiu Jiu...go for the XBOX. There are only a few games out for XBOX now but the good ones are gonna come soon. PS2 is old already. You should keep up to recent systems cuz the games are going to be the shit in the future!!!! TRUST ME!!!

Jubes, I got a XBox and PS2, and they are indeed both great. The XBox is more powerful and has more potential. But, PS2 is and will be the world leader, I am afraid. The PS2 will have more great games for a long time to come. XBox will hopefully slowly build up steam, but the thing is, there are somwthing like 18 million PS2s out there already, which is why you will see more games come out for that system. Can't lose either way, thought; no matter what you buy you be happy I'm sure... have fun

I gotta say that I am pretty dissapointed on the latest information that I have received about the UFC game...Ice-t on it? wtf?
I thought that the hidden guys were other real fighters and not some jokes. Anybody know the rest of them?

I will reserve judgment until I can actually play it... but to be honest, it doesn't mean shit to me if all they are adding is newer characters, a few more game modes, and beefed up graphics (which in my opinion, are nothing special), then I will be dissapointed severly. All the characters played more or less the same anyway, so who cares if they add more of them? The graphics look pretty dull for a game that has had a while to be developed.

 

Actually Matt, the roughest estimate I could come up with was 7 million PS2s at the midpoint of last year. If you think about it, XBox really doesn't have much catching up to do.

This is reminiscent of the Genesis / SNES wars. SNES was mroe powerful, had the better games with the prettier colors and the cuter characters, and in the end sold just barely more than the genesis did. I think the XBox will end up being the SNES of our time.... especially with all the games they have coming out that could possibly be faithfully recreated in a PS2 environment.

I would LOVE to see the BS2 pull off Jet Grind Radio Future with their 4 megs of VRam. bwaaaaaaaaaaahaahaahaahaa

If I do decide to purchase the XBOX system, what games would you recommend?
I know the UFC game is set to be released sometime in February and it looks pretty wicked (I've seen some previews of it during televised UFC events).
Is there a UFC game planned for PS2 in the near future? If so, do you think the graphics will be just as good, if not better?
