Prometheus is underappreciated.

I thought it was a great movie, and had no idea it was related to Alien. If anything that held it back because it had to somehow tie into another plot.

I think if Alien Covenant is a great film, than people will look back at Prometheus and give it more credit. But Alien Covenant needs to answer questions that Prometheus didn't answer.

But me personally I give Prometheus a 7/10. Main issue is I couldn't relate or connect to any of the characters and a lot of beyond stupid decisions made by the characters. I mean really stupid shit.

Agreed.
Beautiful film, wonderful score, nice visual effects, great sound design, well acted for the most part.
The back end of the second act and the third act are messy with contrivances, but it's still a very entertaining and engaging film.
