That’s how I was seeing him. And then in one of the spring races he actually had a great win with ineos at tour of Burgos. And for a second I was thinking he might throw together a little run this year.
I’m curious if ineos was hesitant to take him to a major tour so instead he just quit.
This seemed to be a low "prove it" contract with Ineos. If Caleb did not see himself continuing on past this year and was not going to big races, I could see him thinking better to just quit now.
He seems to have been struggling with motivation for a couple of years now. Tough sport if your heart is not in it.
I am just speculating, of course.
