Nice win for Matteo Jorgenson at Paris Nice. Would have been really interesting to see the dynamics if Jonas had not crashed. Takes nothing away from Jorgenson. He won fair & square in terrible conditions with a team that was almost devoid of other climbers once Jonas left.

Very curious to see what Jorgenson can do in the cobbled classics in a couple of weeks.

I do wish that some of the commentators would realize that Jorgenson is only 10 months younger than Pogacar and the same age as Remco.

agreed. impressive with that pull away move and acceleration to the line.
(maybe should have zipped up his jersey though for the line and afterwards)
no doubt unaccustomed to that situation.

he may become quite accustomed to that situation in the future. Celebration was good. Agree with zipping up. style points.

Vingegaard not starting Tour of Catalonia, bullish on Ayuso!

and still strong enough to finish 4th himself

Del Toro played it so cool. I did not realize he had quite THAT level of uphill sprint.

I dont think Yates is quite in shape though they did the climb in record time

Agree re Yates. He looked stronger vs last week.

The finish did not really suit him either. He would have had to drop everybody to win. Suited Del Toro better.

I like to think Yates and team recognized that and rode for Del Toro accordingly. Nice for them to give the young guy a chance to shine. Not that many opps at UAE.

Thanks goodness the UCI stepped in to fine Del Toro 200 Swiss Francs for not having his jersey zipped at the finish line.

As a cycling fan, I am glad that the sport's governing body is on top of the most important issues.

UCI is without mercy. He said that the zipper was broken!

Apparently you can somehow make final 30km of MSR boring. MSR Donne.

Vollering attacking just before the Poggio KOM banner was hilariously bad tho
