Really strong sprint field at the flanders classic like course that is euro champs that is about to start.

PHILIPSEN Jasper
PEDERSEN Mads
VAN DER POEL Mathieu
MILAN Jonathan
KOOIJ Olav
MERLIER Tim
KRISTOFF Alexander
LAPORTE Christophe

And later it is the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal where I expect total POGSTRUCTION! Course very similiar to what the world champs course is two weeks from now.

So the GP de Montreal isn't the course used for the '74 worlds '76 Olympics or grand Prix des Ameriques. That course was 15 km per loop IIRC.

In 1988 GP Ameriques was a pro world cup race but only 5 teams showed up and it had a bunch of amateurs as well. In 1989 they held pre-WC race on the F1 track, on the Friday.

I quite like the Canadian weekend but if these were not world tour level races where all WT teams have to send full rosters the ens result would be just that, world tour teams simply skipping these races. Same applies to the early season races in Australia

It was a weird set up in 1988 because the toshiba- la vie Claire, 7 eleven and Carerra were there but other teams like PDM sent 3 guys. In 1989 it was full on and all the top pros were there.

So the French put a guy in the break that isn't working with others and then they also have someone chasing in the main peloton with 200k to go?

Jackie Chan wtf.gif

The best large cities for circuits are San Francisco and Vancouver. A WC in SF could include Telegraph Hill, and Marin Headlands climbs and a loop in Golden Gate Park. Could start with Berkeley hills circuit.

Vancouver has 3 major climbs out of the city Cypress and Seymour are TdF like climbs that start in the city. That would be wild.

Filippo Baroncini scores his first pro win against a pretty stacked field at the Super 8 classic, he had some good results at the Vuelta.

Can MVDP beat UAE tomorrow on the final stage of Tour of Luxembourg? Good racing to be expected!
MVDP did a really good TT today considering he probably rides his TT bike twice a year.
