7 stage Tour de l'Avenir starting today. This is where you spot future stars if you have not already.

Riders to watch for: Jarno Widar, Peter Oxenberg, Pablo Torres, Andrew August.

Shame it runs concurrent to the Vuelta.

We’re traveling so I’ll be catching up on the first couple stages once we get home.

Did see kuss lost a minute but when he won the vuelta last year he was performing about the same I thought.

He wont be sneaking in any breaks this time tho

There are so many cycling related things that Pharmstrong and Wiggins could have discussed.

I want to know what know what Wiggins was thinking in 2006 riding for Cofidis as the greatest track rider in history and getting his ass kicked in TdF TTs, then losing 25lbs and going much faster in TTs than he did as a recent track rider. That makes no sense. WTF? Fill in the blanks here Bradley.

What does he think about the young generation dominating? the days of the USPS/Sky train are done. Thoughts?
Which are all fair questions and intriguing ones. But the human story is the one that resonates most for me. I don't really separate one drug cheat from another. He's a ma. Desperately trying to find himself after a relatively brief respite (cycling career) from a childhood filled with unthinkable trauma. Sexual.abuse/his father being murdered etc.

If you watched the interview he says how he supports one for his son's cycling ambitions but will not be his coach. He doesn't want to be the one to tell him to do an extra 2 hrs on the turbo, to push him ......

He's basically on the verge of a mental breakdown in full glare of the media.

It's a difficuky watch seeing him like that but I respect what he's trying to do.and hope he manages to banish his demons....

Fucking SD works. I wonder where they could have gained those 4 seconds, maybe not abandoning your GC leader in a god damn ditch lol??

I'm not a fan of watching a train wreck. He needs some help. He can't even do a 1hr interview without a beer with an arm's length away.

The interview i would like to hear (after he resolves his issues) is a year by year explanation of what went on after he turned pro.

This was impressive tho

2020 Giro Hindley and Kelderman vs Sunweb jackets, never forget!

Ok, we are different people. I respect that.

Another very hot day for the peloton, not expecting any big time gaps as climbs are very easy outside of very hard 3km towards the end of Pico Villuercas.

Massive gaps compared to my expectations. I'd say many GC aspirations expired today.

Bittner scores his first world tour level win beating Wout. Groves for some reason soft pedalled for a second or two when it was time to launch it and completely lost his speed.

Saw LR breakdown.

Wout passed by Groves the other day on his right. So Groves was checking his right side.

Wout went left. When Groves saw him, it was already too late.

Very impressive climbing performance by Pablo Torres on Les Karellis at Tour de l'Avenir, I wonder for how many decades UAE is going to sign him up for?

Such a shame that production values for the race are abysmal. Sometimes the sound consist of keyboard sounds and heavy breathing for minutes.

Tour de l’Avenir ends today with a hockey stick stage up the extremely hard Colle delle Finestre (18km @ 9,3%)

What makes it interesting is that the GC favourites lost tons of time yesterday to a O’Connor like breakaway sneakery
