Nice result for Storer. He is the sort of rider who I did not think of as a contender but once I saw him in the front group, I was not surprised. If that makes sense. Great results.

Pidcock got dropped kinda early but still finished with del Toro. A sneaky good result.

Hats off to Simmons. The guy has one tactic but finishing 4th on the type of route feels like absolute max performance.

Gravel worlds looks like it can be done with a 28-32c tires. Also, Pidcock hates rest periods and seems to be doing all things with 2 wheels.

These roads in the gravel WC are hilarious. You literally ride on a lot of roads like this while training road racing ,on 23s, in the late 80s and early 90s. Maybe things have changed, but this was standard stuff in western Netherlands and the border areas of Belgium when I was racing.

There isn't one piece of chipped stone on this course LOL.

I'm sure salt of the earth gravel racers are mocking this as the gravel world championships.
