That Montreal course is similar to the 1976 olympic course and the GP des Ameriques of the late 80s and early 90s when it was a world cup race. I raced it once and it was absolutely brutal going up the big climb and two smaller climbs 15 times.

My one experience at GP des Ameriques was when it was in early August and it was hot but not brutal temps. The issue was how hard the race was - LOL. The course was the '74 WC course with 15 laps of a 15km loop. They did 18 laps yesterday and it was a shorter race. I watched the highlights and last couple of laps. The big climb is the same but there were a couple of other shorter climbs that just burned legs. I'm sure I must have described the race in previous years in these cycling threads.
