Ben Healy uploaded his ride with power data

Kigali World Championship: 5,028 kJ in 6:01:03. Compared to some Tour stages this year:
Stage 14 to Superbanger: 5,071 kJ in 5:12:16
Stage 18 to Col de la Loze: 5,031 kJ in 5:22:39

suprisingly low numbers today compared to Le Tour or power meter reading low

How much of a factor is the altitude and polution?

Remco:

"The European Championships road race is my biggest goal of the year after the Tour, maybe even more so than the World Championships"

wtf my boy has a mechanical in his head, something which I agree is not very rare.

Pog vs Jonmos vs REMCO starting tomorrow with ITT.

oh Pedersen doing euro ITT, think we could get a suprise winner on a relatively short course like this

So much for that. Remco cruises to easy win gaining just shy of 2s per km on Ganna

Remco is the reigning world, olympic, european and national ITT champion

your boy was the big fave, of course, but still impressive to look that good after the quick turnaround and lots of travel (not to mention the absolutely brutal race on Sunday)

Should be a good weekend coming up. Giro dell Emilia on saturday has Del Toro, Roglic, Pidcock, Onley, Ciccone, Healy, Vine, Powless starting. I have Torito as slight favourite, Roglic from few years ago would be clear favourite. It was just two years ago when he dropped Pogacar like a sack of potatoes

Euro champs on sunday between POg, Jonas and Remco

Movistar announces that they have signed Cian Uijijjtjjejdejeibroeks in a post that they quickly deleted. Is he habitual contract breaker?

Both Cian and Visma are playing nice about the switch.

Multiple explanations are possible.

Could be that both the team and the rider want a change and this serves all parties.

Could be that Visma knows that European law may favor the rider and fighting to keep somebody who does not want to be on the team is bad for all parties.

He remains an interesting and talented young rider. Difficult to see how moving from one of the best organized teams in the sport to Movistar is going to make him better, but let's see.

Kristoff fails to score victories at Langkawi, will retire with 98 pro wins. Palmares include Milan - San Remo, Flanders, 4x stage at the Tour.

Del Toro continues to vacuum up Italian late season races by winning Giro dell’Emilia!

Roglic looked washed up on a finish that used to be just as close to perfect for him as it gets. I announce that Roglic = done

19 year old dane Albert Philipsen finishes tenth

UAE executed their strategy well and del Toro had the legs to finish it. I was starting to have seeds of doubt on 2nd last time up the climb when del Toro was back a bit. But, in the end, he made it look easy.

This is a fun race. Too bad that it conflicts with the Euro Championships.

Good ride by Pidcock. Not sure if there was much else that he could have done.

Shout out to Cian for trying to get away early. Riskier move but also probably his only chance.

Young talented rider greedy for a bigger role. If he can't produce good results in Movistar, it'll be pretty hard for other teams to pick him up in the future.
