First I need to sign @Clippy for the commercial.. the part of the non fresh balls of course all rotten and moldy from his garage bad depositing habits (he put the bad candy back.. "for guests and whatnot" this guy.. I swear).

Oh man. Slots are full brah. We are talking about how to redo the sign up procedure next time. Former contestants who ACTUALLY SUBMITTED images will be notified a head of time and can pre-sign up. It's a shame that some of the OG shoopers can't make it into these contests. We may have to institute other things into the sign up thread such as you have to be here on SD for a certain time period or something. This is all talk right now but I am getting upset that the ones who make this scene here on Sherdog, the ones in the trenches every day, in the shoop threads, and those that have actually showed up for contests, like you, are not gonna be able to sign up.
I can sign you up as an Alt though. You will be the 4th Alt. From my experience 6-8 people will no show this event, so you have a darned good shot at making it. I am thinking of bowing out myself to make room for the guys. I have been in enough Photoshop contests, so it won't be a big deal for me. I do want to up the count to 60 people, but it's already hard as heck for me to manage 40, plus 3 voting threads will be crazy!!
I am tagging all the contestants to see what their input is on this. Make sure to sign up as an Alt dude. Please.

Great idea on notifying the people who participated and submitted in the previous contests.
60 contestants as you said would be excessive in my humble opinion. Unless admins up the count to 30 voting options per thread. But I think you mentionned in the past that it wouldn't be possible.
3 voting threads would be chaos lol. It's already a miracle to have 2 voting threads with a similar amount of views/votes. There's always one trailing behind.
On a positive note. It's nice to see contests getting more and more attention and more shoopers entering. Can't recall a contest reaching 40 so fast. Let alone surpass it like this one.
There has to be a way to include everyone in the future...

Yea naming the pre-sign-up as an "invitation" is a good idea too. You so smart.

Might be difficult for BWR to keep track of all the people who bailed out or didn't submit over time though.
Another idea would be to have something like a 2 or 3 day window for everyone to sign up.
If all the spots fill out and we are still in that 2 day window, then a Regular shooper who decides to enter can take the spot of a whitebelt or a person with very few posts.
If however that 2 day time frame closes and an OG shooper decides to sign up, it will be too late to take someone's spot..
Could be a 3 day window or whatever. Just pitching a random idea.

I'm think they could re-code the forum to allow a user group (probably only me) to be able to make a 30 or even 60 person poll and to post that many images in the OP. I don't know if Admins have the power to do that or if the forum would have to be coded to be able to do that. I will bring it up and ask again as I forgot why they said they couldn't or wouldn't do it when I asked before.
Yea brah 3 threads would be chaotic. I really wanna try but... just damn. I would need an assistant for sure. And they will know who the entrants are ahead of time.
I agree it is nice to see the contest growing. I put up the thread, blinked twice, and NGS v5 was full!! Even ISL v7 sold out and that has never happened before. The most we had before was 20 and v7 hit 44!! I actually had to bump 4 new guys down to Alt slots so the regulars could be in the contest - don't know if many ppl even know that. Good thing is that all the Alts made it in, so it worked out well.

I thought the only reason they didn't do it was because it would apply to everyone.
But if they are able to code it in a way that only you could add 30+ options in a poll that'd be awesome.
It would be well worth the effort considering how big the shooping community is on this site. It's a big part of the boards and it keeps growing.
50+ entries in one thread might be problematic for those with slower connections. But if they could bump the count so we can avoid having 3 voting threads or avoid having to decline people from entering, it would sure be nice.

Dude i don't mind dropping out to let some of the proper shoopers in. The way I see it there is no point in the competition if someone like you bows out, you're the guy we all aim to beat, I'm sure even Arq knows you're the biggest threat in these competitions still, without you in there it's like Khabib fighting Al Iaquinta for a title!
You have to be in it, I'd rather bounce than see you or anyone proper drop out
