Privacy Fence cost

you should escape ASAP IMO

Depends on the style and quality of the fencing, and if you're doing it yourself or not.

Buying contractor grade fence panels from home depot, you're looking at 13x8' panels @ about 100$ a piece, and those are only 6' tall. Plus posts, concrete etc etc. Probably close to 2k, and that would be the cheapest option available.

Not even sure they make 8' tall panles, so you're looking at custom built, which us $$$$$$

3k on the low end. Have to factor in wood is at a high price right now.

I’m looking for something similar and was quoted anywhere from $3500 to over $5000.

I have a 6ft breezeblock wall and added 4ft of privacy fencing to it, starting 2ft below and rising 2ft above existing wall. Did it because neighbour has concrete foundation, we have a raised foundation. So every time i took a piss in our bathroom i could see right down into their living room.

Fastened 2x4s vertically(3.5ft long) every 6ft wide and then nailed 12ft long 1x6 douglas fir fence panels horizontally onto the 2x4 studs. Used 1/2" drywall scraps as a spacer and then stapled a black weed barrier fabric on the back.

Went 36ft long and the materials came to about $120(5 panels high) + $20 for a walnut stain + $20 for a clear coat sealer. Tapcon concrete screws $20 from Ganahl lumber.

Privacy fence cost. Looking to replace about 100 feet, 8 ft tall.
Wood or chain link?
I paid $1,800 for a 30 yard (90 feet) wood fence 5 years ago. The fence has a height of 6 feet.
Why do you need it to be 8 feet high? That will make it more expensive. Not the standard height.
It will last about 5 years if the wood is not coated or painted.
Go with the metal posts to hold the wood fence. I went with the wood posts and they tend to rot or break (wind) after 3 years. If it is a chain link fence, it will be a fortune.

Anything 8' or above usually requires a permite
