Prime Hendricks who arguably beat GSP

Hendricks needs to focus on the only fight that matters to him now - the fight against early onset Type 2 diabetes

I pulling for Hendricks to win but I’m not willing to put money on it
 
Hendricks would have been a difficult atyke match up in his prime and I might favor him kver Khabib but TS is way overrating his grappling. Hendricks had strong takedowns and TDD but his top game and GNP are average at best and he didnt have a submisson game.

GSP was known as the best grappler before Hendricks clearly dominate him on that field during their close fight (not that close for me but nevermind)

Hendricks also had a way better striking than Khabib, a tremendous KO power Khabib don't have

I honestly see Pre USADA Hendricks KO khabib or win an easy decision dominating on the grappling/ground

Khabib is a beast but he didn't fought a guy like Prime Hendricks

prime hendricks is for me the only ww who can beat gsp and khabib

he was a monster and a nightmare stylisticaly for everybody

I gave Hendricks the decision (48-47) against GSP, but that was post-torn knee GSP -- GSP was already on the way down at that point (as you could see in his fights against Condit and Diaz). Hendricks did more damage than GSP did, but neither did anything more than cosmetic damage (are people really impressed by cuts and bruises -- we used to look worse than that just coming in from playing murder-ball at recess, and the only things teachers would say is "try not to bleed on your notes".

No knockdowns, and alternating winning rounds always means the same thing: no one was seriously hurt. Someone who's seriously hurt is just trying to make it to the final round -- if you can recover in a minute between rounds then no damage was done (ask any emergency room doctor if someone can recover from a serious injury in a minute, they'll laugh at you).

When would Hendricks and Khabib have fought? Khabib was still learning the basics during Hendrick's prime, and Hendricks is old and well past his prime during Khabib's prime. Neither fight would be competitive. Unless you're talking about using a time machine to bring them together in their primes, and I can think of a lot better uses for a time machine than that.
 
It would be an interesting matchup but also quite a different one.

I spose Khabib has used a jab alot in some matchs like Ali but I don't think his game is AS dependant on it as GSP was. I think alot of Hendricks sucess against George was down to having a good jab, it meant he could hang with him at long range and didnt end up beign forced into rushing forward and potentially getting countered with a double leg which was always GSP's main game post Serra IMHO.

I think fighting off Khabib against the cage would potentially be harder than GSP, George basically just went in deep for single legs but Khabib varies his attack more and uses bodylocks to drag people off the cage more.
 
GSP, Usman, Khamzat, Hendricks in their primes all beat Khabib in his.
 
With prime, you mean roided.
Just like 'prime' Ubereem is the best fighter ever.

Both of which mean nothing, as well, unless it's broken down on a round by round basis. Since we're talking about things that mean nothing as it relates to how a close and controversial decision was reached.
 
Current GSP smokes post-usada hendricks. Can we all stop ignoring his streak after the UFC/Usada partnership was announced and pretending that he was suddenly past his prime. Guy is like the post-usada posterchild aside from maybe Belfort.

Looking back Hendricks was certainly on fire for that period in time. I love Gsp and I've always been on the fence about if Hendricks was truly robbed or not but none of us fans can deny he gave him the fight of his life that night
 
By prime, do you mean juiced the gills?

GSP is around the same size as Khabib.

To say he's "much bigger", is dishonest... he has nicer muscles but their size is not much different. 5-10 lbs tops.

The size difference between GSP and Silva was much greater.

That is some next level delusion.

Silva fought at WW, GSP never fought at LW IIRC.
Clearly the size difference is NOT how you describe it.
