I don’t think he does.
Khabib is the best wrestler that we have ever seen. He dominated in a highly competitive era and was able to maul every single fighter he faced.
I can not think of another fighter in the modern era of mma who never ran into someone they couldn’t get down and keep down.
Hendricks in his prime was a great fighter, he fought to effectively a draw with (ever so slightly just a little bit past his) prime GSP but he never really faced adversity.
As soon as he ran into guys that didn’t drop from his (fairly predictable) left hand, he became human and then fell apart.
When considering great fighter vs great fighter, I can’t pick a guy who didn’t do well when faced with resistance/adversity.
Assuming he fights Khabib now, that means USADA, which Khabib has no problems with.
Level playing field and Khabib gets sufficient time to prepare for 170, my money is on Khabib. He is mentally stronger. Hendricks was a short WW, Khabib is a big LW, both about 5’9-5’10, right?
Henricks could definitely win, but I think Khabib’s mental strength makes the difference.
