I think you are a way more accomplished cook than me, so have multiple better options for food prep anyhow.

I'm no Ramsay. People swear by them so I'm by no means slagging them off, just not for me.

I don't understand why @Stump said it's "mindless". I NEED a food processor. A pestle and mortar won't do for the food I cook. I have a small processor for small pastes but I need a big food processor to cook normal meals.

Nobody needs a food processor. I have never used one. Neither of my parents ever used one. What the fuck is it?

We've hashed this out. I need a food processor because I make a lot of curry pastes and pesto, aside from whacking up fruit and veg for jams/preserves. So yes, I need a food processor. Your parents or you not needing one doesn't mean people who cook certain foods don't. Dig?
