How did Randy finish Chuck? how did Rampage? in both situations Chuck was clearly gassed after being forced to work very hard for a prolonged period.

You might as well say Rumble wasn't gassed, Cormier just "shut him down".

What on earth are you talking about, Randy and Rampage didn't finish Chuck due to gassing... They put a beating on him over an extended period of time and used his urgency in the later rounds against him and put him away due to damage sustained.

Chuck was still firing, Rumble completely cracked in the first as he has in all of his losses as a result of fatigue.

After the first Rampage loss Chuck entered his Prime and went on one of the most incredible runs in MMA. The only people writing off Chuck are the folks that weren't around to witness the magnitude of his heyday.


Not to mention Chucks style is taylored to KO guys like Rumble. He's not over aggressive, probably the best back pedaling offense in the sport, solid chin, and great cardio.

Rumble is a one round wonder, his striking defense is not up to par with his offense, and his heart is questionable.

Chuck plays the countering game in the first round before taking Rumble to deep waters late in the second and putting him away brutally with a flurry.
