So all-time great, hall of famer, former Ufc light hewayweight champion, legendary Octagon warrior Chuck Liddell is thought by many sherdoggers not to be good enought to beat a guy who never wore the belt and is most known for gassing and being chocked out in big fights....

Definitely Chuck. I always have and always will think Rumble's success is a result of being at the right weight at the right time. The Gus win was solid but that's pretty much it.
 
Chuck lost 2 times to a worse fighter that is Rampage, Rumble would easily KO him
 
i think a prime chuck beats rumble 9/10 times no matter what rumble shows up. chuck had an iron chin in his day and some damn accurate striking. rumble hits real hard but that threat only last 5 minutes and then hes done.

Prime Chuck survives a couple big shots then sets the pace to a 3rd round TKO.

Lol how silly... Rampage in his prime is twice the fighter Rumble can ever be...

Believe it or not he was a far more efficient wrestler and used it to compliment his great boxing and vice versa. He was far more fundamentally solid then his later years in the UFC.

Rampage in his Prime would mop the floor with Rumble
 
Chuck wasn't even in his prime at the time when he became a huge star. Real prime Chuck would beat Rumble fairly easily. He had one of the best chins I've ever seen and Rumbe has one good round in him.
 
People blasting Rumble's cardio are incorrect, you're only gonna break him if you get on top of him at will...which isn't easy to do, even when DC was taking him down every round it still took 3+ rounds to break him, Chuck might beat him but Rumble's cardio won't be a issue in what would most likely be primarily a stand up fight.

Chuck. Prime Chuck can take a punch and had good angles. And taking him down is not an option. Anything past the 1st round and AJ is tired.

Different era.



Prime Royce Gracie would be one of the worst fighters in the UFC today. Chuck built his record on beating many 1-dimensional opponents. The cutting edge of the sport has evolved dramatically relative to when Chuck was in his prime.

Honestly neither has great cardio, Chuck gassed his way to loses vs Rampage and Randy in his prime years when his cardio was tested.
 
People forget how insane chucks chin was back then, not to mention speed, accuracy and aggression.

I think Chuck would have more then a good chance of winning. That say's a lot considering how far MMA has comes since Liddell's days in the sun.

What on earth are you talking about???

He was shut down by Randy's original game plan which Rampage tweaked and implemented as his own l. Heck he even trained with Randy.

Chuck came out for both fighters expecting them to try to wrestle him. Rampage prior to the Chuck fight was known as a powerful wrestler who could slug, he came out cutting corners, using a high guard, and beating Chuck to the punch with precise boxing. Not to mention when he took him down brutalized his body with GnP

Nothing to do with Chuck gassing.
