My favorite story was one that WR posters kept linking me to in the 2020 election, because I live in WI. The story was that there a “glitch” uncovered in Rock County that gave Biden a 19K vote lead, and all those votes were supposedly going to be removed from Biden’s total. The story cited as a source “an individual in Rock County who saw this happen,” with no further vetting or research. Classic.

I honestly think Biden should go on a tell-all spree with everyone. Call Netanyahu a genocidal baby killer, expose the Clinton crime family, tell off his handlers in the DNC, burn everyone to the ground and tell all the truths that need to be told. He's walking dead anyway so it's not like he has much to lose.

True there will always be exceptions but its a big risk and past 75 critical deterioration can happen very quickly .

There is also a big problem with people staying in politics way past when they should have retired out of a hunger for power (Pelosi,McConnell,Feinstein).

At one point you have to step aside and hand over the reins to the next generation.

I think a lot of it is that they have proven themselves to be a safe pair of hands promoting certain groups interests. That they themselves aren't so important, more the deals they've made.

I would argue the story with Biden was these people knew that his age was a potential liability for sometime BUT if Biden had not stood for president again we would have seen open primaries and thats what the Dem establishment fears the most. They fear that someone who might actually upset the status quo even a little in terms of things like taxation of the ultra wealthy might build support and win plus such a person could build support based on public donations and so be outside of the control of wealthy interests.

Biden running was a calculated risk but even the downside wasnt bad as the Dem establishment get to pick their own replacement with no public vote AND that canidate could potentially avoid another public vote in 2028, over 12 years since the last Dem Primaries vote and even that was comprimised by covid.
