You can end your post here. I don't know what Argentine fans you're following because Messi is treated with more respect than a politician by Argentines.

Messi has an incredible amount of power over the AFA and the national team which is why his friends always get called up with him.
Than politicians? A group that is universally viewed as scum in most countries.

lots of talk that Gerrard had gender selection on his kid, like David Beckham

why not lol

Socrates, Falcao & Zico were amazing players. Surprised that era of Brazilian football gets no love nowadays.

82 World Cup was the best I've ever watched. The Italian team was top shelf & the Germans were solid as a rock.

Honestly think most of the International stereotypes in football originate from this World Cup.
Too young for it but my dad always said that the team with zico that lost was way better than the lauded 70 team in his eyes.

Lol fucking spuds. Baeee

Viewed as scum, but revered when they're present by most. ;)

I should rephrase that, Messi is seen as a king in Argentina.

He's loved by everyone there.
He still has a lot of critics in Argentina who view him as not living up to maradonna as if that even makes sense. I really hope him or ronaldo get a World Cup.

Juventus haven't lost at home in any competition since August 2015, 50 games unbeaten

Yeah man, that Brazil team had it all.

I really loved Kaka too, he was on my school desktop picture lol (Henry da Gawd was on my home one)

I started to hate Brazil (not really, but arguing with the nuthuggers on here) when Chael and Anderson had beef doe lmao
haha, I feel you. I was there also. Kaka was a beast, but Brazil kinda got soft eventually(not Kaka's fault, mainly failed "prodigy's" and a broken system).

Henry da gawd is an all time beast for sure. He was specil. didn't like him at United, but loved him at Barca :)

Germany smashing them I subtlely enjoyed. I love Germany(largest ancestry) and Brasil could've used a good humbling and damn was that ever.

What source is this exactly? He doesn't have to reach the level of Maradona.

I follow Argentine football and he's treated like a king and praised by everyone.

Here's some proof.

People at the airport waiting for Messi to arrive to beg him to stay with the national team:

Here's people under the rain begging him to not leave:
