If he stays healthy, he’s going to cruise to the Golden Boot, even with Pep’s rotation.

It’s actually shocking how little shit McT gets. Heard people compare him to likes of Fletcher and Butt. Laughable, he’s not even Darren Gibson.

Most failures at United can go to a place like Villa or Palace and become a mainstay, and I guess that’s where guys like Maguire and Rashford are. McT ain’t even that.

Guy has to be by the worst player in modern United history with more than 100 (he’s closer to 200) games played.
He’s a local lad who fights for the badge though!

Probably the worst thing Mourinho has ever done was using him on the first team because he was tall. I remember watching him with the youth teams and he never stood out there either which makes it even weirder he’s still around. I truly believe he doesn’t start on another team in the PL that’s above relegation fodder. United has plenty of these types of players who don’t make it but have respectable careers at lower PL/championship clubs but he somehow slipped through the cracks and stuck around. They don’t even play him in midfield with the national team…

The only one I can think of off my head who played a lot/got a ton of shit who is sort of comparable position wise is Fellaini, and he was still more useful despite his limitations

Better second half and honestly should’ve gotten at least a point but Rashfood was dogshit in front of goal

I don’t know if I’ve ever hated a player (who actually plays regular minutes) more than Mctominay. Hope he gets a weber c fracture diving in late for a tackle for the 1000th time so I don’t have to see him jogging back after losing the ball for the 1000th time

My expectations are already low so I’m not surprised at all, just tired of seeing the same shitty players and barely doing anything to change that despite having the funds to do it. Doesn’t matter who the manager is some players will just not improve. It’s the textbook definition of insanity

I know it sounds crazy, but I still think Fred can be a decent squad player if he wasn’t paired with McTominay.
I agree with you and have thought this for a few years. It’s why Fred starts for Brazil, he has a great DM next to him and since he doesn’t have to worry about that you can just let him loose and run all over the pitch like a hyper dog. He’s definitely inconsistent and has bad moments but you need guys like that in the squad who can give you some energy over the course of the long season. I never give him as much shit as I do Scott and that’s why

Yeah, I was.

2nd was a huge fluke, so going into last season I thought maybe top 4 at worst. Signing Ronaldo made me more optimistic because I thought he'll easily score 20, meaning that might fluke us more wins and we might finish higher than expected.

This season, I was like "much better manager on paper, and he'll be heavily backed so maybe top 3". Until about a week or so ago. Now, that's become top 8 at best. One game, no - it's not one game. It's seeing the exact same shite in one game that we've seen for years. Nothing has changed. And there's no signs they are gonna give ETH the money needed. Our squad is way worse now than last season, now I think of it.

I’m cautiously optimistic about ETH, but realize there is no quick fix, even if we spend 300m. At this point, it’s at least a 3 year project, but unlike previous eras, the competition doesn’t just consist of a couple of others. We could drastically improve in the next 2 seasons and still be fighting for 4th and not 1st.

Agreed. Guys we considered hangers on in the past like Henning Berg or Phil Neville are Roy Keane compared to McT.

After 4 years of Fellaini playing, I still genuinely don’t know what position he played.

I overslept, I woke up at 11:30 AM. spent all night watching the Call of Duty League.

McTominay wouldn't start for the newly promoted teams, and I honestly mean that.

Fellaini was garbage but he offered so much more than McTominay. Pound for pound, much better player. Same level of misplaced aggression and clumsiness but an end product at times, and a true handful against certain teams.

McTominay, if sold tomorrow, would be in the Championship. Someone like Forest MIGHT take him for 10m.

they're used to it lol

as an arsenal fan, you get used to your team being so fucking shit you become sorta immune to it.

Drogo would know that if he had followed Spurs for more than 5 years

plastic cunt

Jim Garner was one of their best players last season, comes back on a high, and barely plays pre season.

Surely can’t be a bad idea to give him a shot. Literally can’t be any worse.
