Actually Stones was decent Everton, not that i watched every single game but thats what i remember. He is also young (and the huge fee is putting pressure on him), he might still end up as a good or even great cb.

Yeah I have nothing against Stones, but his season was rough for sure.

Decent but nothing special. Germany has many good GK's but they are also pretty hyped for the most part, not sure if Leno is Real level. Trapp was hyped as well and didn't impress at PSG.

I'd say different skill sets required. And a lot of it is perception. A lot more margin for error at the smaller clubs.

Needs Smalling, Jones, Shaw, Rooney, Lingard, Young, Rashford and Carrick to make it world class.
 
I agree with @Deffid, we haven't seen what Pep is capable of yet. Let him try to manage a mid table club like Man U and see what he'll accomplish.
