Ronaldo is the GOAT (after Thierry Henry)

10 Hag is mad to not start him in the PL

Have to acknowledge the level of opposition but job done. We’re definitely improving, but we’re clearly not the finished article in Ten Hag’s eye. Some promise.

I think we're drawing at best next week so what happens when we finish 2nd? We're not guaranteed to go through right? I don't really understand the situation.

Yeah opposition were expectedly poor and we looked average but hey ho. Decent enough scoreline.

I don’t really get it either, kind of assumed we’d go through in second? The commentary didn’t sound desperate about it in any way, unless I missed it? Mildly concerned but meh, Mickey Mouse cup init.

Yeah, nowt special, but job done and a 3-0 win, glad to see our Marcus score, Garnacho was a positive too. I am the eternal optimist with United but hey ho, better than it was. I’ll take this for now.

edit - and Ronaldo was a bit less of a ponce, progress there too

2nd place teams go into a play off round against the 8 teams dropping down from the CL.

Lots of good teams dropping down this year so finishing 1st is a massive bonus.

To be honest I won't care if we go out. I can't be arsed with this tournament. We aren't gonna win it and its another series of games in which our key players are likely to get injured.

Fair point, can’t disagree. Fuck this off, concentrate on getting back to the top table in the top four. Oh aye yeah, I’d take the trophy but it’s doubtful and a pain in the arse.

Far easier to concentrate on a domestic cup. In my opinion. And top 4. Imagine Lisandro gets injured next round against someone like fucking Trabzonspor or spme other trivial side, and misses 8 PL games. We'll end up 7th again.

Ouch! PSV spoiled Arsenal's run! Arsenal need to beat Zurich next week to guarantee finishing top and I'm sure they will. Man U beat Sheriff - it would be worrying if they didn't and they are going to the playoffs. West Ham beat Silkeborg to maintain their 100% record and for a change a Scottish team, Hearts, won as well.

United can still win the group.

Yes they can, if they beat Real Sociedad away next week by at least 3. I just think that's unlikely.

Edit: Man U only need to win by 2 or more, which I still think is unlikely, but less so.

It's too complicated for me to work out who goes top if Man U win by 1. I think Real.
