The Mbeumo news is music to my ears, he was probably one of my most wanted signings this summer but I deemed it impossible, mad news really.

I don't think the Bruno thing is over yet - I think he's about trophies not money, and is hoping an actual league comes in for him, the window has only just opened.

If thats the case, in last 2 summers Kroos, Modric, Ceballos and Diaz gone. Add Vazquez (despite him playing as rb recently, he is an RW). Bellingham getting shoulder surgery so will miss 1-4 months, Paz or Guler get a chance to prove themselves (assuming Alonso uses them in Jude's position).
While Paz, Guler, Endrick or Mastantuono wont be starters right now, they are still young and will get plenty of playing time.

Aye, I understand if you're a Madrid fan you want the best talent available I'm just not a fan of these kids going to big clubs to sit on the bench in general. I'd rather they make their first steps in the major Euro leagues with a smaller team and then move on to a big club when they're ready to be starters for one like Wirtz is this summer for example.

Worked out fine for Vini and Rodrygo as you say but you also had other great talents you didn't really utilise like Odegaard and Hakimi although thankfully those guys were able to find their feet elsewhere but it does make me wonder if there's a lot of talent going to waste.

Doubt it. No one is paying us 100m......let's be honest his true market value is half that at best and I think the days of clubs spending big on guys in their 30s are over. 90% he's staying.

Guess we're hoping to get rid of Rashford, Garnacho, Antony, Sancho and Hojlund to finance a couple more signings. Suspect at least 1 of that bunch will be here next season. 40m extra if Greenwood and Alvaro Carreras (baffles as to why he was never given a chance) get sold, too.

Thoughts on Mainoo? Heard we'd entertain bids of 50m+ for him.

Odegaard ok i admit was not handled well. Though he was loaned to Heereenveen and Sociedad, did ok with those clubs but didnt really show anything to get picked over Modric or Isco. Where as Paz killed it at Como and gets called back after one year.

Hakimi came from youth teams and did well but wanted more playing time and since Real had Carvajal as starting rb, yeah hard to displace him. Not sure i consider his talent going to waste, 2 rb's from teams youth system and both good ehough to be starters.
 
Job just released my vacation for the year. England/Europe 2/22-3/7. Now to wait for fixture release to see the lads back in the premier league!

We getting some crispy chicken, Tulian?
