Good win for the Toon, and that's four in a row. Beating Leicester doesn't mean much lately though.

Prediction

PSG 3 - 1 Aston Villa

Southampton have sacked Ivan Juric after 107 days in charge, with the club at risk of recording the lowest points tally in Premier League history. Saints were relegated on Sunday after defeat at Tottenham.

Juric replaced Russell Martin in December but failed to fashion an uplift in results, with the 49‑year‑old winning only one league match, at Ipswich in February. Saints have lost six of their past seven top-flight games.

Southampton have 10 points after two league wins and need two points from their remaining seven matches to eclipse Derby County’s record‑low haul of 11 points in 2007-08.

In a statement confirming Juric’s sacking the Club said: 'Ivan came to Southampton at a tough time and was tasked with trying to improve a squad in a difficult situation. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen performances progress the way we had hoped, but we would like to thank Ivan and his staff for their honesty and hard work as they fought against the odds to try and keep us up.'

Maybe he can go to Spurs next, should be able to improve things a bit there.

The three promoted sides were abysmal this year. So, so poor. The gulf just seems to get worse every year.

Off for a few jars for the Villa game tomorrow night, couple of my mates are fans and have booked a table in town.

Nothing worse than a boozer that allows people to book a table, imo.

You get it over here for the big Liverpool and United games. Literally 75% of the tables are booked and empty for the 2 hours before the game. 10 minutes before kick off pub gets packed, then as soon as the final whistle goes there's a max exodus. Normally only the ex-pats who start early and hang around after.

Yeah it gives me bad memories of covid.

I think they're having food before kickoff hence the table booking, fuck knows though - that bar does get full quickly, but surely not on a Wed night for a Villa game. It's Bale's bar.

What a team back then. Lehmann goalie 😸 Come on Arsenal tonight!

Fits the retro vibe. For @Bacco what a team that was

That was fun Milan to watch

When was kid in early '90s there was "Milan of the Invincibles", they have been like more than one full year without ever lose a game in Serie A

Googling it
Champions League in 88 and 89, then 58 games unbeaten in Serie A through '91-93, Goalkeeper taking zero goals for more than 10 games, then another Champions League in '93

Crazy shit

Fun thing my previous home was'nt far from my favourite soccer player ever (Maldini), seen him couple of times walking the street
