Who should Barcelona sign coming season?
@Possum Jenkins @Da Speeit
We probably say it every year but surely Lewandowski is going to decline pretty soon. I’d like to see them try to get Osimhen (if it’s even financially possible). I think Barcelona having a target forward that can link up with Yamal and Raphinha would be the final piece in the puzzle.
Lewandowski is obviously still a great striker but more of a technical poacher that’s always in the right place. Bringing in a physical demon like Osimhen will probably make the team play even better. I can easily see him banging in 30+ with Yamal pinging him those far post crosses.
Ferran has his moments and I’d keep him in the squad but as a designated backup striker he doesn’t do it for me.
Depends on who they sell.
Araujo HAS to go.
First priority imo is a real right back. Kounde did better this season, but he’s limited in that role and there are things both offensively and defensively that Barca are hamstrung by with his lack of pace, inability to dribble and weakness on the overlap. Not his fault, he’s a CB.
Need a backup LB that is reliable. Balde is great but fragile at times and Martin cost us a CL final. Yes, his two assists were great but 5 goals over the two legs were his fault.
A striker behind or even in front of Lewandowski on the pecking order is necessary. I really like Pau Victor and I think he’s got a great future but it probably isnt at Barca at the moment. Maybe a loan would do him well.
If money isn’t super tight, i’d like
Grimaldo
Frenesda
Alvarez
Frenesda is going to be difficult bc Sporting just brought him over permanently, but he’s not crucial to their project and they never say no to cash in hand.
More likely is Pubill or Ratiu.
I’m meh on both, Ratiu is more than likely going to come with a 10m buyout, so that’s kind of free real estate.
I’m as Pro-Ferran as they come. Never understood the disdain for him. Still young, only getting better. Plus he just had surgery, probably going to interest a ton of teams to pay his worth
