Premier League 2024/25 Thread - v4: I always win things in my second year MATE

Literally the ones accusing him of racism are being racist. "He said they were acting like monkeys so he must be referring to their appearance!!!!!!"

Not to get all Ficaian on the matter.
[Fenerbahçe] releases a statement labelling Galatasaray's accusations of Jose Mourinho being racist as "completely malicious" and "baseless slander", promises legal action

I saw homosexuals voted heavily for AfD lol. Also, as has been discussed in the War Room, young females have gone way left in the last few years while young males have gone way right. Although who is stronger for AfD, homosexuals or young males I'm not sure. Young male homosexuals!

Manchester United will make up to 200 jobs redundant to 'return the club to profitability'.

About 250 members of staff were made redundant last year in a first wave of cost-cutting measures by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

In a meeting with staff on Monday, United chief executive Omar Berrada

informed employees that there would be a fresh round of redundancies as part of a 'transformation plan'.

The club said: 'The transformation plan aims to return the club to profitability after five consecutive years of losses since 2019.' It added that 'approximately 150-200 jobs may be made redundant, subject to a consultation process with employees', with the process expected to take between three and four months.

As of 30 June 2024 Manchester United had 1,140 employees, so 450 redundancies would be 39% of the club's workforce.

The biggest match of this season for us. If we win I might order champagne

Real next 6 games:
Sociedad away Copa, Betis away league, Atletico home CL, Rayo home league, Atletico away CL and Villarreal away.
Bilbao next 6 games: Atletico away league, Roma away EL, Mallorca home league, Roma home EL, Sevilla away league and Osasuna home.
Atletico: Barcelona away Copa, Bilbao home league, Real away CL, Getafe away league, Real home CL and Barcelona home league.
Barca: Atletico away Copa, Sociedad home league, Benfica away CL, Osasuna home, Benfica home and Atletico away league.

Real and Barca at 54 points, Atletico 53, Bilbao 48.
El Classico (league) 11.5 and Copa final 26.4.
Quite liking the schedule, hopefully Real has atlest 1 point lead to Barca after those games. Atletico's is pretty brutal. 5 hard games and Getafe terror football ( followed by Espanyol away game in the league and Barca again in the cup).

My predictions: Real leads the league with 2 points to Barca and Bilbao gets closer to Atletico. El Classico final in Copa (and potential El Classico in CL, dont think my heart can handle both).
I honestly have no idea but the season has gone better than even i could've imagined entering it. As long as no big injuries I like Barca to maybe grab another trophy.

With his staggering salary of £4.2m, Barrada now clinches the coveted title of the Premier League’s highest-paid managing director, symbolising a changing of the guard at one of football’s most iconic institutions.

Remember in August the overwhelming concensus was that Real and City were #1 and #2 and the next best was miles away.

Obviously Real are still there or there abouts, but it shows how quickly things can change.

3 titles up for grabs and Yamal keeps getting injured. Alot riding on Lewa and Raphinha, just when Mbappe finds his form and Real has a healthy defense (apart from Carvajal). Despite the 2 El Classico results earlier this season, quite optimistic. Dare i even mention Real winning the treble for the first time, naaah not yet.

Or Barca having won the league after beating Real in the first league El Classico and being 8 points clear?

Then Real was up 7 points just a couple weeks ago. It's a long season, but the fact that Barca is even competing for all these titles this late in the season. Madrid were so far ahead of Barca last season, then added arguably the best player in the world while Barca barely added a squad player. Everyone were handing Madrid every trophy possible but thankfully this season so far has turned out differently and has been very competitive between the top 3 teams.

Based on pure talent Real should be far ahead but nothing has separated each team much other than the two thrashings in the Clasico's. For whatever reason Barca play Real with so much confidence but lack it against other big teams.
