Thanks bud. He's older than I thought too; he's 25 and I thought he was like 21-22. From what I've read recently, he seems high up on our list for right wingers.
What sort of price do you see as fair for him?
Its ok, no need to thank me
25 is the new 18.
Sporting are doing, and imo, will continue to do very well... Trincão is doing one of his best seasons, with 8 goals&11 assists in about 25 games. So it would seem like he is coming into his own self ... but, who knows ?!
Just checked transfermarkt and Portuguese call up for the next matches.
He's valued at 27 millions and he made it to the Portuguese call up. We have : Francisco Conceição, Quenda, Neto and Trincão as RW options. Im actually curious in which one(s) will our manager bet on ...
Anyway, i honestly dont know what his release clause is, or if he has one, but you can expect Sporting to push the envelope, considering the context. Im thinking somewhere between 40-60 million euros.
Will he be worth it ? Only one way to find out ...
My opinion ?
For that ammount its a non worthy risk, cause its a toss up.
Again, i hope im wrong, but i just think he cant endure the physicality, and since its allways difficult to choose and then succeed in new transfers, due to several factors, how can one "predict" success or failure ?
By looking at the track record, meaning the past and the evolution, if any, to the Present.
He failed to succeed at Barça and he failed to impress at Wolves ... something which could also be easily understandable from another perspective, considering his age, hype, his club(s) and its timing there, personal issues, adaptation, squads, opportunities... etc ... Yet he is doing very well at Sporting.
And by that, thats why i say its a toss up. And for that price, and if he fails to deliver, thats why i consider it a non worthy gamble.
Because i can give you a list of 10-20, younger and also talented RWs, whom would be much cheaper, could have a higher ceiling, and therefore, a greater reward.
Sorry for the long ass read.
