I thought Mads Mikkelsen was a good villain actor. Everyone ITT knows I don't think he should be playing English language roles but leaving that aside he is good. I especially liked him as Le Chiffre.

Anyway I was interested to find out that he did start out in grimy Danish crime films as drug dealer and small time criminal characters who get involved in stuff out of their depth etc. A bit like the Lock Stock genre, but grimier.



@Ignicious can you recommend me any more films of this genre? Preferably Norsk but Dansk or Svensk is ok too.

I had a brief phase of watching Norwegian gangster/crime films a few years ago but the only one whose name I remember is Kraftidioten / In Order of Disappearance. Some of those ones where people get snowed in in a skiing cabin as well, then a murderer/murderers/werewolves/whatever appear. There's a whole genre of films with that premise.

Arme riddere is fantastic and Norsk. Might as well mention Lilyhammer on Netflix

@650lb Sumo I liked 'Another Round' aka 'Druk' aka "Der Rausch" with Mikkelsen. Nice mentioning the Pusher movies. Winding Refn is one of my favourite directors in recent years.

Also saw the norwegian movie you name dropped. Actually saw that in the Kino when it was released

No favourite german rapper. Used to listen to it mostly back in the late 90s. Nowadays it's mostly Scheiss Musik with wannabe gangster stuff.

Used to smuggle this on some playlists a lot at partys back in the day @Deffid might have a laugh with the lyrics aswell
