Almost 200 takeaways across England, Wales and Northern Ireland received the lowest possible food standards rating of zero, according to new analysis conducted by MailOnline.www.dailymail.co.uk
Almost one in 20 takeaways are so dirty they failed inspection, grim MailOnline analysis reveals.
Nearly 200 scored zero – the worst possible rating.
This includes one Lancashire takeaway where inspectors found what appeared to be a deep fried rat in the kitchen.
Shocked environmental health officers made the disgusting discovery at Mexicano Food Box in Preston during a visit in September 2024.
As well as the dead rat, there were insect and rodent droppings throughout the entire premises. As a result of the inspection, the business closed voluntarily for a 'deep clean'. The owners were warned that formal action would be taken if standards are not dramatically improved.

My g I usually get 6 hours which I’m used to lol. Been on about 4 and less than that since Swissfraud eviscerated me and I had night shifts last week which I never am able to get used to.
