Premature Stoppage

A mistake is different than a trend. I see these sometimes, but I don't see that they are any more common than they once were.

He definitely had more to give, but there was a moment, a second before Julbli got up, where it was forgiveable to stop it. That was when it was the ref called it in his mind, even though it took him a second to get there.

Regardless of it's validity, I'm doubtful of Jubli's chin moving forward.

there was a follow up ground and pound shot after the knockdown. He only grabbed the leg after the ref stopped it which paused the incoming further GNP that would have occurred

...dood was done. Bam bam bholantha alakah bum shiva

these refs need to stop being pussies, goddard does it a lot too, we don't get to see actual finishes because they stop it as soon as someone gets hurt, Jubli was grabbing a leg when the ref stepped in, ridiculous.
Goddard is usually the worst with premature stoppages

Wasn't there another Indian guy who got KO'ed by a blocked jab?
You are thinking of KB "The Bengal" Bhullar, who went 0-2 in the UFC.

He's Canadian, of Indian descent.

Early but he was also too fucking dramatic with how he fell. Can't fault the ref when the fighter looks that bad after a shot.

Ah, that explains why I didn't find anything for a BK Patel

If he didn't freeze and cover his head I don't think it would have been stopped. The general trend these days though is to stop early. It's annoying. But I can understand why it was stopped.

off topic but I feel bad for jubli, he has a big social media following as India's only male representative in the UFC and he got his ass kicked back to back, must be humiliating considering how many people were watching and supporting him

He flopped to the ground face first and the ref stopped it. His desperation hold onto a guy that was no longer trying to hit him doesn’t make it a bad stoppage.
His opponent wasn't trying to hit him anymore? Sounds like it didn't need to be stopped.

If you’re the sole fighter representing your country, you can’t get flash KO’d by the first punch of the fight. Ref saved this guy from further humiliation and disgrace. Good stoppage.

Definitely understand how the ref thought it was over from how he fell, but yeh he also was up fighting right away. Would've been a worse impact from the punch if he tried harder to not fall down, to look good to the ref (if it was even possible to do, only he'll know). Pretty much the worst way to lose after doing the training camp, media etc.

Glad everyone is saying it at least, expected the opposite.
First he got KOed by a guy by a who missed weight, then this one. Hopefully the UFC don't hold it against him. Also hopefully he won't get a big suspension and can fight in the next few months.

This and fuck Goddard, he is the worst ref that anyone can ever think of.

And we are going to get the losers talking about fighter safety and refs are just doing it for fighter safety, yada yada bullshit. If they really cared about fighter safety, then they wouldn't let them fight. Period. Otherwise the while point of the fight is about inflicting damage. How fucking dumb is these people talking about fighter safety.

At the end of the day all we want is closure. Early stopping of fights doesn't give us closure. Another few seconds or a few more strikes aren't going to hurt anyone. So come the fuck on refs and let them bang.
