Matic was never going to be the game changer aside from the long range missile a couple times a season, but he’s what United needed in terms of linking the defense with the offense and giving Pogba more room to get forward. Misuse of Pogba and Herrera in combo with Lingard hitting a brief blistering form put more on his plate than needed, in my opinion.

Alexis was definitely short sited move, but had he hit the ground running and took some of the pressure off and provided more service to Martial, Rashford, and Lukaku, it could have been great. Instead, he’s played on the left, displaced two of them from the squad, and has been near complete shit.

I've seen just about every match this season and I can tell you this much - Lovren has nothing to do in a team like Liverpool. Just like Karius, Mignolet and to some degree Matip, he's too prone to making big fuckups. At this level, you just can't be a liability like that.

To put it in other words, he's a player on Sotons or Arsenals level, not pools.

Fabinho+Keita is a great combination btw @Chris Partlow and @blokeybloke , great deal by Liverpool. They have decent enough midfield depth even if they lose Can now. Fabinho, Keita, Hendo, Wijnaldum Ox, Milner is pretty good.

I assume he will trust his young full backs, now they just need one versatile forward, a proper goalie and a CB. Lallana and Solanke can NOT be options when you want to compete for titles...
