What’s the reason Mac Allister only cost 30m?
Presumably a release clause or agreement?
Was a release clause innit

Sorry it's been quite a week. Hopefully I can get back into footy threads soon@helax I have money to get rid of. Man U vs Liverpool starts in two hours. Can you or @MiCavalier hook a brother up
Release clause
Has ever been confirmed?
Thought it wasn’t really a thing in England.
He had one but not Caicedo.
Seems odd.
@helax got a feeling Szoboszlai scores next goal, seems to be involved in most Pool chances and just needs one good shot, long range missile ala Toni Kroos.
I’m gonna post the Tottenham game. Nottingwank finna get it todaySorry it's been quite a week. Hopefully I can get back into footy threads soon
Nobody seems to know what was in the release clause but it sounds like it could rise to 55M. Brighton had some extra stuff in there, apparently.
Endo 16m, MacAllister 35m, Szoboszlai 60m. Last two being release clause activated. New midfield for just over 100m, pretty good when you think that these days many players cost 100mMental they basically replaced their entire midfield in one window, and ended up with such a good one.
Meanwhile United spunk a fortune on Mount, Casemiro, Amrabat, Sabitzer, Erikksen etc
I thought after the Suarez to Arsenal farce, they basically dismissed the release clause between English clubs?
Guess they made them enforceable now?
Which begs the question why do we still get fleeced.

Doesn't seem to happen very often in the PL but they are still around, as far as I know.
The South Americans seem to push for them. Bruno got a new contract but wanted a release clause put in there before he signed it. If the rumours are true then it's only for non-Premier League clubs, though.
