I like Ugarte. We tried for him before he went to PSG

Hard tackling DM who gets stuck in but is also good on the ball

I’d like to pretend I know who he was before 8 days ago. Remember the name, but that’s about it.

Obviously, looked at a few YouTube compilations, so now can say I’ve studied him in tents city for 5 years and always wanted him.

De Ligt was good at Ajax but he's been pretty shit since. The consensus is that he bulked up too much and morphed into a slow and stocky defender.

Zirkzee is pretty talented, don't know the other guy.

Seems we’re not going crazy with a fee/wages for de Ligt, so kinda worth a punt, imo.

If he fails at United he’ll be a Spurs/Dortmund player for the next 8 years, so he’ll be motivated at least.

I watched him a bit when I found out we were in for him. He's definitely suited to the Premier League.

He started both games against us in the Champions League, he was shite in the game at St. James' Park but to be fair, all of PSG were.

De Ligt could be a success. Looks like you're not overpaying, he's still young and has showed plenty of skills earlier in his career. I'd be cautiously excited if I were a United fan.

Seems some are calling him Maguire 2.0 because of his lack of pace.

Never seemed massively slow when I watched him, but apparently he’s had 3 knees injuries in the last 5 years, which is an obvious concern.

Varane’s gone. Lindelof is going. Martinez is injury prone. Evans is 43.

Need to bring in at least 2 CBs tbh. Not as sexy as the forwards, but needs must.

Regarding De Ligt, has signing a former Ajax player even worked out for Ten Hag yet?

I was suggesting Van de Ven left back with Ake and Van Dijk in the center before today but de Vrij is actually pretty good and steady so probably shouldn't change that. The forwards is where we have the big problems.
If Koeman isn't a complete fucking moron, after this match it should be clear even to him that Depay is not a fucking number 9. He's a Shadow Striker at best and needs a big strong dude like Weghorst or Brobbey to play his game. He loses every physical duel but still has creativity on his day. Just bench Simons at this point, if Memphis is appearantly unbenchable then just start with Weghorst and Depay close behind him.

I'm not convinced of Weghorst as a starter but I don't think it's realistic to expect for Brobbey of Zirkzee to start.

Same, Brobbey and Zirkzee aren't in Koeman's list of favourites so he won't ever put them on the starting 11

edit: Koeman being interviewed by Dutch national television now literally saying "I've heard the striker discussion but if Memphis just scores that goal in the beginning nobody will say a word", basically confirming that for the next game you can bet the house on this dogshit headband merchant starting as our centre forward AGAIN
