Was fun. Each team had their chances.
I am curious though on what the handball rule is. I watch sports a lot, but not football religiously (as you might be able to tell LOL). I think I have a good eye for the game but aren't up-to-date on everything and am confused by the no-handball ruling.
The commentary I heard made it sound like since he was moving his arm towards his body it wasn't a foul (and had the ball hit his arm in the exact same spot but he was moving his arm away from his body it would have been a foul).
I'm curious what the letter-of-the-law explanation in the rulebook is.

Re-hired me as coach. Pays off. We could've won the Mixed already too if she wasn't injured a lot

If i am not mistaken position of the hand or proximity of the attacking player dont matter anymore. Fact is Cucurella's hand was not glued to his body (as many defenders do), ball was going past him but the arm/hand stopped the shot. Clear penalty to me and i had money on Spain. It changes so much it's hard to keep up with. It used to be that it was called if the hand was in an "unnatural position," then at one point it was any handball at all, no matter what position. But that became so harsh that most refs didn't enforce it.
I think it should have at least gotten reviewed because yes, it seemed like he was moving his hand towards his body but it also obstructed a clear shot towards goal.
So he is a proper baller (minus the lack of clinical finishing of a old school nr 9) and you are green with envy?Kai Havertz is banging this and nicking a living at my football team. Fuck sake.

This was the possible offside right before, but there is no way they have checked that in that short amount of timeIf i am not mistaken position of the hand or proximity of the attacking player dont matter anymore. But as is often the case with english referees, ref on pitch says its not a pen and the var referees dont change the call or even tell to check the replay. As if they feel overturning the call makes their fellow referee look bad.
