Pougatch just said they're probably going to go three centre halves and five at the back lol.
I'm not up to date on the thread so this might have already been posted but

BBC Sport have reported that England were spotted training with mannequins in a five-at-the-back shape ahead of Saturday's clash in Dusseldorf. The Three Lions finished in the same system against Slovakia, with Switzerland also usually building up in a similar style.

It's not clear yet whether the team were training with five defenders, against, or both.

It wouldn't be a switch Southgate would likely be slaughtered for, especially given England's poor choices at centre-back, with Marc Guehi set to miss out through suspension. Ezri Konsa is likely to be called up to replace him and could slot in alongside John Stones.

Was fun. Each team had their chances.

I am curious though on what the handball rule is. I watch sports a lot, but not football religiously (as you might be able to tell LOL). I think I have a good eye for the game but aren't up-to-date on everything and am confused by the no-handball ruling.

The commentary I heard made it sound like since he was moving his arm towards his body it wasn't a foul (and had the ball hit his arm in the exact same spot but he was moving his arm away from his body it would have been a foul).

I'm curious what the letter-of-the-law explanation in the rulebook is.

It changes so much it's hard to keep up with. It used to be that it was called if the hand was in an "unnatural position," then at one point it was any handball at all, no matter what position. But that became so harsh that most refs didn't enforce it.

I think it should have at least gotten reviewed because yes, it seemed like he was moving his hand towards his body but it also obstructed a clear shot towards goal.

Just won in straight sets, tennis is coming home.
She's won all three of her matches in straight sets so far. I think Lulu Sun will get rid of her though.
Re-hired me as coach. Pays off. We could've won the Mixed already too if she wasn't injured a lot :(

Even top british overall sports no 1 supporter @650lb Sumo would cheer for us 😸 I guess...

I think my girl Harriet Dart is out next match as well. :(

If i am not mistaken position of the hand or proximity of the attacking player dont matter anymore. Fact is Cucurella's hand was not glued to his body (as many defenders do), ball was going past him but the arm/hand stopped the shot. Clear penalty to me and i had money on Spain.

But as is often the case with english referees, ref on pitch says its not a pen and the var referees dont change the call or even tell to check the replay. As if they feel overturning the call makes their fellow referee look bad.

This was the possible offside right before, but there is no way they have checked that in that short amount of time
