Reasons

1) Mousasi was already training to fight at UFC 200 against Thiago Santos

2) Mousasi is still a recognizable name and his international appeal will help the global market

3) Mousasi can fight at LWH healthy, he was already cutting to fight at MW, just stop the cut

4) DC will accept this fight, as its a fight he believe he can easily win

5) Rumble isnt ready

6) Gus last fight was a loss to DC, he needs at least 1 fight before his rematch

7) Bader most likely isnt available, even though he would be my first choice

8) Havent heard Glover state he wants the fight

9) Have you save Bisping for the Hendo fight in London $$$$

The thing is, Gegard is weighing around 196 points for this fight prior to the water cut (ala his interview with KB).

He'll most likely come in weighing a few pounds underweight, similar to the way Dan Henderson was.

I hope not. Mousasi is boring as fuck. Not interested at all.
Nobody knows who the fuck he is either.

Good thing you made a new thread for this. Obviously it wouldn’t have got as much attention in the other 10 threads about the same retarded subject.

Good thing your post was of such high quality, it really helped this thread stand out

I would much prefer it to another rematch or Rashad. It seems like an awful match up for Mousasi, but he has many tricks.

I hope so, it is the most interesting option available. As for Rumble, taking another short notice fight against DC would kill his chances of ever getting the title.

He will get fucking obliterated. No one wants to see Mousasi against elite fighters. Let him jab Thiago Santos with his eyes closed for 15 minutes on the prelims instead.

Nah it's someone sitting home drinking a cold one
