And absolutely wrong. Jan joined the UFC in late 2014, while Glover's first UFC fight was midway through 2012.
So how could they be saying the same thing for them ten years ago when none of them were in the UFC at that point?
The best LHW in the world is the current reigning, defending, undisputed champion. Jan and Reyes both dispatch Glover pretty quick.
 
Well I mean.... it's going to be guys that are completely unknown to us right now.
 
I posted in this thread about people misreading this thread as champs instead of goats, but then realized that JustOnce changed his avatar, so I didnt recognize him, and I'm not gonna take anything that guy has to say for granted.

Yeah you are right, it's about GOATs, not champs. Who on earth would know who the champs would be a couple years from now let alone 10 years

Cool, good check. That's what I assumed, but I could have seen you saying you thought in before 2010 that Fedor was the best (since it was before the Werdum loss) and would continue to be for a decade.

What divisions still have an argument about who their GOAT is? Maybe heavyweight? Lightweight? I disagree with the controversy at featherweight, but I guess there is one. And bantam.

I suppose those would be the easiest to settle by 2030 then

Fedor will always be goat at heavyweight.
People will say Khabib at lightweight but I think his record is pretty padded. That's what people say about Fedor, but I think Fedor has a lot more top 10 wins.

I would have loved to see Barao vs Cruz before Barao's decline. I think Barao had style to beat Cruz. Who knows if TJ will be same when clean.
 
I think Aldo is clearly GOAT at featherweight. The problem is he clearly got beat by the same guy twice at featherweight who's super young and prob got robbed last time out.

This is Sherdog. People here, the exact place where people SHOULD understand the concept, still fail to even grasp the simple idea that someone can be higher on divisional rankings but lower on p4p.

Lol glovers been fighting for two decades already. And Jan is 37. Glover is on a huge streak and he finished both smith and Santos (who btw owned Jan) two guys even jones couldn’t finish in title fights. Lol @Reyes being the best

heavyweight: gane
Light heavyweight: adesanya
Middleweight: khamzat
Welterweight: Usman
Lightweight: idk probably some dagestani prospect :)
Featherweight: zabit
Bantamweight: yan
Flyweight: moreno (he’s wild enough to figure it out I believe)
 
10 years ago Jon Jones and Ryan Bader had an undefeated propspects matchup to determine who was the best young LHW in the world.

So who the fuck knows
 
I don't even know if I will be alive in 2030 or not.
 
Chase Saldate maybe. Has been training at AKA, top tier wrestler and getting the standup better at Mendez&friends.
