I know it. I just dont think that it matters. Poatan is so much faster and better striker than Chuck that Tito might not be able to get a takedown before he gets MOLLYWHOPPED ( I know the mods LOVE that term)

Even if Tito got him down, who says that its over?

Nobody's saying if Tito gets him down it's over. We're saying that Tito gets him down, and we're saying it because people like you are saying "Tito might not be able to get a takedown." Pereira's been taken down by every opponent he's faced, including a fucking WW! Tito might get knocked out, he might even get knocked out inside the first five minutes, but no matter what happens it's almost a certainty that he gets at least a TD. To deny that is just insanity or an indication that you haven't seen Pereira's fights where he's frequently taken down by people much smaller and/or not as good at TDs as Tito.

Dude...a welterweight took him down. You've got to at least give Tito a shot at taking him down. You can still keep alive the fantasy of Tito getting murderlized. But not until after Pereira fights his way back up from a Huntington Beach Double Leg.

Bas and Randy were about the same size. Why do you have Bas fighting at MW? Granted, he fought during a time and in orgs where 200+ was standard, so he often fought bigger guys while weighing 200-210 pounds, but has Bas talked about cutting weight and fighting at 185 if he were fighting today? I'm genuinely curious, as I've never thought of Bas fighting at that weight.

Randy was 225 -230 lbs as a Hw...Bas was like 203lbs... that's barely a LHW now and days...so thats why i said MW...

203 llbs is more in line with MWs of today..


That said i dunno Bas's stance on cutting weight...for all we know he'd probably just fight LHW or HW ... with a shit eating grin on his face throwing palm heels and kicks to the livvurrr

That's what Bas weighed against Randleman when he was already planning to eventually challenge Frank for the MW title. I could be wrong, but I want to say that he fought in Pancrase in the 210-220 range. That said, it's been a while since I've watched those fights and paid attention to the weight conversions to pounds and the translations from Japanese to English 🤔
 
I can't really see it with Tito, I think he could win the first round but Poatan is very good at staying safe and avoiding damage when he gets taken down and doesn't get up in a risky manner.

Tito was a bit of a fader and could get discouraged so I think he'd get caught at some point.

Also that dome is a fucking big target for a Poatan hook to land on.

Tito could take hits but I don't think he could stand tall against the kind of abuse Poatan would put on him.

I think LHW Poatan has the kind of power where it doesn't really matter if you have a good chin or not. They should bring Phil Davis in for one fight only to see if he can crack that jaw for scientific purposes.
 
Oh and with the edit to include non UFC pre Zuffa champs then we can just sneak rings tournament champ Fedor in there.
