Pre-workout meal?

How on earth are you guys able to eat before working out...

Usually eat 3-4 hours before getting my training on.

Anything less then that, stomach feels to full

45-90 minutes prior to working out is perfectly fine so long as you don't have a giant meal; gastric emptying will be fine by then.

If you eat heavy volume of food , well then yeah you will feel like you need 3-4 hours. Also, the content...does your body respond well to X vs Y ? If i eat a banana before working out i get sleepy. If i eat eggs and some spinach, i'm gold. Though i usually lift semi fasted (coffee, BCAA's)

Before mma, mt, etc, its usually 1.5-2h. Before lifting about 45min. Its still a pre-workout meal to me, its the meal I have before I workout

Ideally, I like to wake up and have a good meal of about three eggs, turkey bacon, wheat toast and yogurt then workout about two hours later once it digests. Working nights with kids that's not an option since I have to lift right when I wake up. I settle for a banana and a yogurt.

muesli and a banana about an hour before. meat and vegetables (incidental carbs) and maybe a banana after
