There’s been some drama with my daughter’s team. She got moved up an age group this season. It was a tough decision to have her leave her team she’s been with for 3 years, but we agreed with the club that it was better for her development.

The first week of the season, they turn around and move all the top girls from the older team up an age group, leaving her essentially playing with their B team. We agreed to move her up not only to play better competition, but also to be surrounded by players who had good passing and off the ball movement. Now there’s very little of that. She’s easily a top 5 player on their team (including the 8 they moved up), but they essentially told us she is too small to play 2 age groups up.

They finally allowed her to come out and practice with the older girls tonight, so I stopped out to watch. They were doing a 1 v 1 drill. My daughter and some monster got picked to do the first round/demonstration—I imagine they picked it this way to see how she’d do against someone with a massive size advantage. Everyone was circled around watching. The other girl gets the ball first and tries to dribble. My daughter gets her body in between the girl and the ball and shielded her off. Despite being a full head smaller, she did a good job pushing her off, but she was trapped in a corner and had to shield for about 20 seconds. She then takes a step out wide with her right foot, Cruyff flicks it with her left in between the girl’s legs, runs around her, collects the ball, and scores the goal. It was the worst violation I’ve seen all day—and that includes the P-Diddy evidence that got dropped this afternoon. My evening peaked, so I got in my car and left for wrestling. All is well in the world.

Found out that "they" inserted a small explosive device during production. Hamas ordered 5000 pagers a while back and "they" managed to mess with them before they got shipped to Lebanon.

It takes a little bit of the mystery out of it, but I'm glad it's not that easy to target mobile devices.

Barnsley were atrocious but you can only beat what's in front of you, nice to see us finally hammering a shit team comfortably. Confidence booster hopefully ahead of the weekend.
